TUDARCO and the power of Appreciation!

         One of the world's most celebrated philosophers of all times Aristotele once said " the eater is a better judge of the food than the cook". Although this may be hard to admitt but in most times it is the very truth that constantly deny.However it is  statements like these that got me into writting what  you are reading right now. perhaps , we should begin by asking yourself? how many times have you actually trying so hard to be the best in your school grades, in sports or evene in writting news stories, but all you can get is dissapoitment and lack of support from collegues and friends from the universisty compound?  Well why you are still thinking about that...
 
      It is very true that may times people around us can be better judges of what we do than our very selves ,like wise man Aristotle said . Hence it is very right to listen to what other people around you are really saying about your  perfomances in whatever that you do , but how willing are they to tell us the truth? how do we know that what  they are saying is nothning but the very truth? and lastly what is truth itself to start with? well it is not in my  plan to get all philosophical , but what i want to get to the bottom at, is the tendency of appreciation when we do well in certain things, or when our collegees are doing great in certain things , we ought to aapreciate?

    Before we go any further, perhaps we should look into ways of geting a thumbs up from our collegues and friends starting with here TUDARCO , well the trick is involving others in what we do so that they feel  part of our siccess, be it getting high grades or getting more awards or anything of the sort. Second thing to rememebr is that when doing something great, it is best when you dont rub it to your collegues such as classmates's faces. Many cannot deal with such situations , so dont get suprised if they neglect your success even if you believe you have it all.!

 However at TUDARCO like any other academic they are those who well in class, and those who dont. If so it happens that you are in the second catergory (unfortunately) then dont dispair! even more leran to appreciate and applause those that are doing well in class., and this may be done in a number of ways: it could be shaking thier hand, it could be just word of mouth or even going to them for group discussions,you never know! after all you may end up taking thier brains as well ?

    
As third year students  are about  to finish with university, it is vital to rememebr to congratulate one another for enduring the university life, leave alone the tons of assgnenments  and prsenetaions that we all had to go through and still are ( if i think about it, am doing one eeven now !) .

DAR FLOODS

 I know we all we've all heard about it, Dar es saalam has been through a havoc of heavy rains for three consecutive days, leading to massive floods, especially to the valley areas such as Jangwani.

    Numerous images of the disaster keep on coming  everyday as we watch guys like the amazing Godwin Gondwe broadcast the evening news.

   One of the things that i happily figured out it is men who rescued the flood victims, and those whose life was in danger due to the floods, and i know this because i personally visited some of the settlement camps for these flood victims, and heard the real life experiences form the men who were there, and this is the point to be taken, a gentle man is a life server! and trust me , am not talking about some superman , super hero character from your favorite movie! no! am talking about an every day hero, as a father, as a brother, a fiance or husband!

   As a man you  are born with the responsibility to take care of others,  referring to the SECOND commandment of the "Gentleman's Guide" , it is our duty to help the society, and on moments like this is when i wish we could give a special recognition to all the gentlemen who had been on the front row in rescue of their wives, children and society..
